TrustTails was designed with two security questions in mind: what can the contract itself guarantee on-chain, and what do you need to do to stay safe off-chain? This page answers both — plainly, without hype.
Part 1 — On-Chain Protections
What the Contract Itself Guarantees
On Solana, an SPL token's behaviour is determined by its mint account. Two authorities on that account — mint authority and freeze authority — control the most consequential powers a token issuer can hold. TrustTails has permanently surrendered both.
Mint Authority: Revoked
Mint authority is the power to create new TAIL tokens from nothing. When it is held, the issuer can inflate the supply at will — diluting every existing holder without warning. TrustTails has permanently revoked this authority. The total supply is fixed at exactly 1,000,000,000 TAIL and cannot be increased by anyone, ever. This is verifiable on-chain; no announcement or promise from the team is needed.
Freeze Authority: Revoked
Freeze authority is the power to lock a specific wallet's token balance — preventing the holder from transferring or selling their tokens. On projects that retain this authority, the issuer can freeze any account without notice. TrustTails has permanently revoked this authority. No wallet can ever be frozen by the project. Your tokens remain yours to move, hold, or transfer without interference from the team.

The Only Source of Truth Is On-Chain
Don't take our word for it. Paste the contract address into Solscan and inspect the mint account directly. Look for Mint Authority: None and Freeze Authority: None — those fields confirm that both have been permanently surrendered. If they show any address other than "None", stop — that is not TrustTails.
A sound contract is necessary — but it only covers the on-chain side. The most common way people lose funds in crypto has nothing to do with the token contract: it is social engineering, fake links, and impersonators. Here is what to watch for.
Do This
Verify the contract address independently. Copy it from our Is It Legit? page and confirm it on Solscan before interacting with any token.
Use a reputable, self-custody wallet. Phantom, Solflare, and Backpack are widely used for Solana. For larger holdings, consider a hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor) where your private key never touches an internet-connected device.
Join only official channels. Check the list of official links below. Bookmark them directly — do not search for them through unverified sources.
Report impersonators. If you see a fake TrustTails account, fake presale link, or suspicious airdrop, report it on the platform and alert us via the community Telegram.
Read the whitepaper. Understanding what a project claims to do is a basic first step. Read it here or download the PDF.
Never Do This
Never share your seed phrase or private key. Not with the team, not with "support", not with anyone. No legitimate project ever needs it. Anyone who asks for it is attempting to steal your wallet.
Never buy from a DM or an unsolicited link. TrustTails is pre-launch. There is no Raydium pool, no presale, and no early-access link. Any DM offering you early TAIL is a scam.
Never claim airdrops from unknown sources. Airdrop scams often ask you to "connect your wallet" and sign a transaction that drains it. TrustTails has not announced any airdrop.
Never invest more than you can afford to lose entirely. Cryptocurrency — including TAIL — can lose all of its value. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Never trust an account just because it looks official. Impersonators copy logos, usernames, and website layouts. Always verify URLs character by character before connecting your wallet.

Knowing the playbook makes you much harder to deceive. These patterns appear on nearly every pre-launch token — TAIL is no exception.
Fake Presale Links
Scammers create lookalike sites claiming you can buy TAIL at a discount before launch. TrustTails has no presale and no early-access purchase mechanism. Any site claiming otherwise is fraudulent. When trading opens, it will be announced exclusively through official channels.
Unsolicited DMs
No member of the TrustTails team will initiate a direct message to offer you tokens, swap deals, or "VIP" access. If someone DMs you claiming to be from TrustTails, assume it is a scam. Block and report them.
Fake Airdrop Portals
Airdrop sites that look like TrustTails ask you to "connect wallet and claim." The signature you approve often grants unlimited spending permission to a malicious contract. TrustTails has announced no airdrop. Do not connect your wallet to any third-party site claiming to distribute TAIL.
Lookalike Accounts
Impersonator accounts on X or Telegram will copy profile pictures, bios, and even post histories. Always verify using the official handles above. When in doubt, navigate directly to the URL — do not click links from search results or suggested accounts.
On Solana, every SPL token is controlled by a mint account. That account has an optional "mint authority" — an address that can issue new tokens. When mint authority is revoked, the field is set to null on-chain, meaning no address — including the original deployer — can ever create additional supply. This is permanent and irreversible. You can confirm it by viewing the token on Solscan and checking that Mint Authority shows "None".
Can the team freeze my tokens?
No. Freeze authority has been permanently revoked. With freeze authority revoked, it is technically impossible for the team — or anyone — to lock your balance. Your tokens remain in your full control as long as you hold your private key securely. This was a deliberate design decision and is verifiable on-chain: Freeze Authority will show "None" on Solscan.
Someone messaged me on Telegram offering early TAIL. Is this legitimate?
No. TrustTails is pre-launch and has no presale, early-access, or private-sale mechanism. Any DM offering you TAIL tokens, swap deals, or VIP allocations is a scam. The TrustTails team does not initiate direct messages. Block the account, report it to Telegram, and alert the community in the official group: t.me/TrustTailsCommunity.
How do I verify the contract address is correct?
Copy the address from this page: 4NoNV3jSYLRbUtVWSTK5XdkpuvRzGpMCmfZSBKMuk6Rc. Go to solscan.io directly (type the URL yourself, do not click a link), paste it in the search bar, and confirm the token name reads "TrustTails" with ticker "TAIL". Also see our Is It Legit? page for a full due-diligence checklist.
Has TrustTails been audited by a security firm?
We have not announced a formal third-party security audit at this time. We will disclose any audit engagement publicly through official channels when it occurs. In the meantime, the most reliable verification remains the on-chain state of the mint account — which anyone can inspect independently without trusting any third party, including us. See our Transparency page for full disclosure on the current project status.
What wallet should I use for Solana tokens?
Phantom, Solflare, and Backpack are popular self-custody wallets for Solana. Self-custody means only you hold the private key — the wallet provider has no access to your funds. For larger balances, hardware wallets like Ledger (compatible with Phantom) keep your private key offline entirely. Regardless of which wallet you choose, write down your seed phrase and store it physically in a secure location. Never type it into any website or share it with anyone.
