Crypto Token Comparison Tool

Pick any two or three tokens below and compare them on supply model, mint authority, freeze authority, chain, and transparency signals — side by side, in plain English.

Fixed Supply

A token or coin whose total number of units can never increase after launch. Once all units are created, no new ones can be minted. Examples include Bitcoin (21M cap) and TrustTails (1B, mint authority revoked).

Mint Authority

On Solana, the mint authority is the address permitted to create new tokens. If it is revoked, that permission is permanently removed — no one can ever inflate the supply. If it is held, a team could mint more tokens at any time.

Freeze Authority

A Solana-specific permission that lets the authority freeze (block transfers on) any wallet holding the token. If it is revoked, nobody — including the team — can ever freeze your wallet. A key safety indicator.

On-Chain Verification

Any token attribute described in a whitepaper or website should be cross-checked on a public blockchain explorer such as Solscan (Solana) or Etherscan (Ethereum). Do not rely on a project's own claims — verify on-chain.

Interactive Tool

Select Tokens to Compare

Choose 2 to 4 tokens. The comparison table updates instantly. All data is general/approximate and for educational purposes only — always verify current information on-chain or via official sources.

Select between 2 and 4 tokens. TrustTails is pre-selected so you can see how it differs from established projects.

Select at least 2 tokens above to build the comparison table.

Educational only. Supply figures, authority statuses, and categorisations shown here are approximate, publicly-available facts intended for general education. They are not financial advice, not investment recommendations, and not an indication of any token's future price or performance. Always verify independently. Cryptocurrency is high risk — you may lose everything you invest. DYOR.

Key Concepts

Understanding Supply Models

Supply model is one of the most important structural facts about any token. Here is what each type means — without hype in either direction.

Fixed / Capped Supply

The maximum number of tokens is set at creation and cannot increase. This means the team cannot dilute holders by printing more tokens in future. It does not guarantee price stability or appreciation — many fixed-supply tokens have lost value. Examples: Bitcoin (21 million), TrustTails (1 billion).

No future inflation Supply verifiable on-chain

Inflationary Supply

New tokens are created over time — often as rewards for network validators, stakers, or liquidity providers. This can incentivise participation but means the total supply grows continuously. Ethereum's supply is technically uncapped but has a low and variable issuance rate. Many DeFi tokens use this model. It does not make them bad investments — it is simply a structural difference to understand.

What to Look For

No supply model is inherently superior. What matters is whether the model is clearly documented, on-chain verifiable, and consistent with the project's stated purpose. For any Solana SPL token, check whether the mint authority and freeze authority are held or revoked — these are the two most important safety signals on that chain.

What Transparency Looks Like

Transparency is not a guarantee of performance. But opaque projects make independent verification impossible. These are the signals that allow you to make an informed decision — or raise a red flag.

Positive transparency signals

  • Mint authority revoked — verifiable on a public explorer, not just claimed in a document
  • Freeze authority revoked — team cannot block your wallet from transacting
  • Token contract address published openly and verifiable on-chain
  • Tokenomics (allocation, vesting schedules, wallet concentrations) documented and checkable via explorer
  • Active, public community channels with clear moderation policies
  • Honest risk disclosures — no guarantees of profit, no price predictions

Red flags to watch for

  • Mint authority held by the team with no public plan to revoke — new supply can be created at any time
  • Freeze authority held — the issuer can lock tokens in your wallet without warning
  • Contract address not publicly listed, or differs from what the official site shows
  • Guaranteed returns, "10x", "moon" language, or specific price targets — these are marketing, not facts
  • DMs from strangers offering presale access, "exclusive" deals, or recovery services — these are scams
  • Large unlocked team/insider allocations with no vesting schedule visible on-chain

Verified contract address

Always verify on Solscan before sending any tokens. The official TAIL contract address is below. If you see a different address anywhere — it is not TrustTails.

Scam warning

TrustTails will never DM you presale access. There is no paid presale. If someone messages you claiming to offer early TAIL or special deals, it is a scam. Only follow channels listed on this site. There is no buyable token yet — verify on Solscan.

How This Tool Works

About the Data & Methodology

Step 1

Built-in dataset — factual, neutral

The tool includes a small dataset of well-known tokens (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu) plus TrustTails. Every attribute is drawn from publicly available on-chain data or widely documented sources. No token in this dataset is ranked, scored, or recommended.

Step 2

You choose what to compare

Select any combination of 2 to 4 tokens using the toggle buttons. The table rebuilds instantly in your browser — no server call, no tracking, no data sent anywhere.

Step 3

Read the table — then verify independently

Use the comparison as a starting point, not a conclusion. For any token you are interested in, check the official explorer (Solscan for Solana, Etherscan for Ethereum, etc.) to confirm current facts. Data here may become outdated if a project changes its structure after this page was written.

Step 4

Apply your own judgement — DYOR

No comparison tool replaces your own research. Consider your risk tolerance, financial situation, and the broader context of any project before making decisions. Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile and unregulated in many jurisdictions. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Only invest what you can afford to lose entirely.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a recommendation to buy any of these tokens?

No. This tool is for educational comparison only. Nothing on this page is financial advice. We do not recommend buying, selling, or holding any cryptocurrency. All investment decisions carry risk and you should conduct your own research and, if appropriate, consult a qualified financial adviser.

Why does TrustTails appear here alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum?

TrustTails is the project behind this website, so it is included in the dataset. We include established tokens like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana to provide familiar context for less experienced readers — not to compare TrustTails as an equivalent or better alternative. Bitcoin and Ethereum are dramatically larger, older, and more liquid projects. TrustTails is a small, pre-launch, community-first token with no trading history.

What does "mint authority revoked" mean in practice?

On Solana, every SPL token has a mint authority — an address that can create new tokens. When a project revokes this authority, they permanently give up the ability to mint additional tokens. It is a one-way, irreversible action recorded on-chain. You can verify it yourself by looking up the token contract on Solscan and checking the "Mint Authority" field. If it says "None" or shows no address, it has been revoked. Note that Bitcoin and Ethereum do not use the same authority model — their supply rules are enforced by the protocol itself.

Why does freeze authority matter?

Freeze authority is a Solana-specific feature. If held, it allows the issuer to freeze any wallet holding the token — meaning you could be blocked from transferring or selling your tokens, without warning or recourse. When this authority is revoked, nobody — including the team — can ever freeze your holdings. It removes a potential control mechanism. Whether a held freeze authority is actually dangerous depends on the project, but it is a meaningful structural difference to understand before acquiring any Solana token.

Can I look up any token I want, not just these ones?

This tool uses a small built-in dataset. For any Solana token you want to check in detail — including verifying mint and freeze authority for any contract — use our Solana Token Checker. For a broader side-by-side comparison including TrustTails, visit our Compare page.

What are the biggest risks with crypto tokens in general?

Cryptocurrency carries significant risks, including but not limited to: total loss of value; smart-contract vulnerabilities; regulatory changes; exchange hacks or failures; project abandonment; low liquidity (especially for small tokens); and scam projects. Smaller and newer tokens carry substantially higher risk than established ones. Even established cryptocurrencies can lose large percentages of their value rapidly. Never invest more than you can afford to lose completely. This is not financial advice — speak to a qualified adviser if you are unsure.

I've been DM'd about a TrustTails presale. Is it real?

No. TrustTails does not DM anyone with presale offers. There is no paid presale. If you have received a direct message offering early access, exclusive TAIL tokens, or any financial arrangement related to TrustTails, it is a scam. Block and report the sender. Official channels are listed at X /@trusttailscoin, Telegram community, and Telegram official. No other channel is authorised.

Does having "good" attributes mean a token will go up in value?

No. Structural attributes like revoked authorities and fixed supply are transparency and safety signals — they reduce certain categories of risk, but they say nothing about future price performance. Many tokens with excellent technical properties have lost value or failed entirely. Many tokens with concerning attributes have risen in price, at least temporarily. Price is determined by market forces — demand, speculation, sentiment, liquidity, broader market conditions, and many other factors. This tool compares technical structure, not investment quality.
